Hiking Trip - Aqoura - Jbeil District

  • Aqoura Hike

    This Saturday, we're heading to the beautiful village of Aqoura in the Jbeil region, known for its delicious, juicy apples, cool and dry climate, and the warm hospitality of its villagers. Aqoura is a world of its own, offering breathtaking views and a rich historical heritage, including ancient churches and a Roman road.

    Hike Levels
    -Level 5:
    Starting from the main piazza of Aqoura, we'll visit several ancient churches, including Mar Saba, Mar Geryes, and Mar Semaan, as well as the historic Roman road.
    We'll also discover Saidet el Habs, perched on a peak offering incredible panoramic views.

    The hike continues down a staircase of 600 steps, through apple orchards, and into the beautiful Mar Edna forest.

    After enjoying a delicious picnic lunch, we'll return to the piazza to catch the bus.

    -Total distance: Approximately 10–11 km.

    -There will be an opportunity to stop earlier for those joining Level 3.

    62 Km from Beirut - 1450 meters above sea level.

    MEETING TIME: 8:00 AM. Departure at 8:15 AM sharp.

    MEETING PLACE: Parking of Sagesse School in Jdeideh, facing the public garden. (See map on: https://www.vamos-todos.com/Pages/ParkingMap.aspx).
    There will be a breakfast stop along the way.

    PRICE: $40 per person, including transport, guides and insurance.
