    Ecotourism Afternoon in Zeaitre – Ftouth, Keserwan

    Our next eco-adventure is bursting with flavor and heritage! Join us for a delightful afternoon in the beautiful village of Zeaitre, nestled in the Ftouth region of Keserwan, where fig trees thrive and history comes alive.

    We’ll begin the day with a tour of Zeaitre’s rich cultural and religious landmarks, including:
    • A visit to the historic Saydet El Derr Church, a miraculous sanctuary dating back to 1813
    • An easy hike to the roman stairs
    • Stops at other important village sites and scenic viewpoints

    After soaking in the beauty and spirit of Zeaitre, it’s time to get your hands sweet and sticky during our fig-picking session! You'll walk through fig orchards, learn about this symbolic Mediterranean fruit, and pick your own figs directly from the trees. Participants will take home a portion of freshly picked figs—and additional ones will be available for purchase at special rates. You can also purchase this year’s products, including some fresh fig jam.

    As the afternoon winds down, we’ll head to a 250-year-old traditional guesthouse, originally built as a silkworm farm. There, a local chef will serve a delicious homemade Lebanese dinner. Surrounded by old stone walls and the authentic charm of the village, we’ll enjoy a warm, communal meal that celebrates the flavors of the land and the beauty of slow living.

    PRICE: $70 per person, including transport, guides, insurance and dinner.
