    Dhour Choueir is one of the most beautiful villages in Mount Lebanon, known for its pleasant climate and the vast pine forests that embrace it. The town is rich in history and charm, offering visitors a glimpse into Lebanon’s heritage through its landmarks and natural beauty.

    You’ll find old caves, ancient mills, stone bridges, natural water reservoirs, fresh springs, and an old souk lined with traditional stone-paved alleys and arched houses. Dhour Choueir also celebrates its emigrant heritage with an annual carnival held each August.
    Our journey will start from the main square of Dhour Choueir. The hike is Level 5 (moderate), featuring some uphill sections and beautiful panoramic paths.

    Hike highlights:
    • Start from the main square of Dhour Choueir
    • Walk along a dirt road leading to Ghwab and Tallet Ameid
    • Visit old caves along the way
    • Explore the old souk and admire the narrow alleys, stone arches, and traditional houses
    • Cross three natural water springs on a scenic trail
    • Climb the long staircase leading to Ain Assis
    • Reach the highlight of the hike — the largest Atilb (Strawberry Tree), a natural symbol of Dhour Choueir

    After this beautiful journey, we’ll end the day with a homemade lunch at a cozy local restaurant, celebrating the essence of village life and Lebanese flavors.

    1200 m altitude - 30 km from Beirut

    MEETING TIME: 8:00 AM. Departure at 8:15 AM sharp.

    There will be a breakfast stop along the way.

    PRICE: $55 per person including transport, guides, insurance and lunch.
