    Our yearly Valentine’s overnight is back!

    Whether you’re coming as a couple or on your own, whether you’re in love, celebrating friendship, or simply in love with nature, this adventure is for everyone. It’s an invitation to slow down, connect, and enjoy a special winter escape together in one of Lebanon’s most beautiful regions.

    This time, we’re heading south to the Jezzine District, one of Lebanon’s finest summer destinations. At 950m altitude, its villages are surrounded by lush pine forests and orchards, offering a refreshing escape.

    In Machmouche, once the main seat of the Maronite bishopric, we’ll visit an impressive 18th-century monastery. The area also preserves traces of a Byzantine settlement with its remarkable man-made lake, supplied by the Litani River through a 16 km tunnel.

    Our retreat will be at Blue Jay Valley, an eco-friendly bed and breakfast nestled in a green valley under starry skies. The site features cozy tents and bungalows with outdoor terraces, an indoor and outdoor restaurant with panoramic views, and the opportunity to purchase homemade products from locals. Evenings will be filled with authentic food and a warm bonfire atmosphere.

    Saturday Hikes
    • Level 6 (14 km): From Deir Machmouche, passing Bteddine, Azour, and Aytoule, before reaching Qattine and its historic monastery. The trail crosses pine forests, waterways, and Ain el Zarka pond.
    • Level 3 (7 km): A lighter version of the same trail, starting from Azour and joining the group at Qattine.

    On our way back, we’ll also stop at B. Balady, a local initiative led by landmine survivors who work in poultry farming, beekeeping, and herb cultivation - a moving story of resilience and community strength.

    This overnight blends history, culture, nature, and eco-hospitality for an unforgettable experience in the south.

    WHERE: Azour - Machmouche - Qattine
    In the region of Jezzine
    80 Km from Beirut
    800 meters above sea level.

    WHEN: Friday, February 13 & Saturday, February 14/ last day for reservation for the overnight participants is Monday, February 09.

    MEETING TIME: 1:00 PM. Departure at 1:15 PM sharp.

    There will be a breakfast stop along the way.

    PRICE:
    - $130 per person including transport, guides, insurance, accommodation & two meals.
