    Ehden Forest (Horsh Ehden) is one of Lebanon's most biodiverse ecosystems. The Horsh Ehden Nature Reserve was officially designated as a protected area on March 12, 1992.

    Spanning 350 hectares on the northwestern slopes of the Mount Lebanon range, the reserve sits at elevations ranging from 1300 to 1950 meters above sea level.

    The forest is home to over 35 species of trees, including cedar, juniper, fir, pine, and oak, creating a rich mosaic of forest communities.

    Equipped with snowshoes, we will explore the stunning beauty of this expansive reserve. As always, we offer two levels of difficulty:

    The easier level avoids steep ascents, allowing plenty of time for photos and rest breaks.
    The more challenging level is perfect for adventure enthusiasts seeking a more strenuous workout, with fewer breaks and less focus on photo stops.

    WHERE: Ehden - North of Lebanon
    1450 m above sea level - 100 km from Beirut

    WHEN: Saturday, February 21

    MEETING TIME: 8:00 AM. Departure at 8:15 AM sharp.

    MEETING PLACE: Parking of Sagesse School in Jdeideh, facing the public garden. (See map on: https://www.vamos-todos.com/Pages/ParkingMap.aspx).
    There will be a breakfast stop along the way.

    PRICE: $45 per person including transport, guides, insurance, reserve entrance and snowshoes.
