  • Tannourine Cedar Reserve: A Majestic Forest Retreat

    The Tannourine Cedar Reserve is a breathtaking natural haven located at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level. Declared a nature reserve in February 1999, it is home to the largest and densest cedar forest in Lebanon, with majestic cedars making up 80% of its trees. The dramatic landscape, where cedars appear to cling to steep vertical cliffs, is truly awe-inspiring. The reserve also hosts rare alpine flowers found only at this elevation.

    Just an hour from Beirut, the Tannourine Reserve offers a remarkable escape from everyday stress, inviting you to immerse yourself in its serene beauty.
    As always, our hike will be divided into three levels of difficulty:

    - LEVEL 6+: This challenging hike is for the physically fit. It features steep climbs and limited time for breaks or photos. Covering around 15 km, the trail starts at Arz Hadath El Jebbeh, ascends to Jurd Tannourine, then descends into the reserve, where you’ll join Level 4 participants for lunch.
    - LEVEL 4: Slightly easier than Level 6+, this 9 km trail takes you through the heart of the reserve. It allows time to enjoy the views and take photos, offering a rewarding experience among the majestic cedar trees.
    - LEVEL 2: An easy and relaxing 4 km walk inside the reserve. Ideal for beginners or anyone looking for a peaceful stroll in nature.

    After the hike, all groups will reunite for a homemade lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Beirut.
