Hiking Trip - Maaser El Chouf Hike - Chouf District

    Join us this time for a refreshing hike in the largest of Lebanon’s nature reserves - the breathtaking Al-Chouf Cedar Reserve, home to a quarter of the country’s remaining cedars.

    Hike Highlights:
    • Explore the majestic cedar forests of Maasser El Chouf and Barouk
    • Discover ancient trees, sweeping mountain views, and charming village paths

    Choose Your Hiking Level:
    • Level 2 – A gentle walk through the Barouk forest to Maasser el Chouf, followed by a stroll through the village’s old streets and lively piazza.
    • Level 5 – A more challenging ascent to the summit of Barouk Mountain, with stunning 360° views over West Bekaa, Qaraoun Lake, and the Chouf, then down to meet the others in Maasser. (~11 km)

    Village Lunch:
    End the day with a delicious homemade meal prepared by the local women’s association, a true taste of Chouf hospitality.

    1500m to 2000m above sea level - 45 km from Beirut

    WHEN: Sunday, March 29

    MEETING TIME: 8:00 AM. Departure at 8:15 AM sharp.

    There will be a breakfast stop along the way.

    PRICE: $70 per person including transport, guides, insurance, reserve entrance and lunch.
