  • Daroun – Saydet Bchouche Hike

    This time, our journey will lead us to Daroun, where we'll embark on a beautiful new trail, meticulously prepared by the Lebanese Army Airborne Regiment, whose significant efforts in preserving our country's environment we commend.

    This trail will connect with another path known as the Mar Youhanna Hrach trail, allowing us to complete a full loop, all at a moderate to easy level, classified as Level 4.

    Our hike will commence in Daroun, guiding us towards the path leading to Aintoura. Here, we will be treated to unforgettable, awe-inspiring vistas of oak and pine forests, overlooking a tranquil water stream. From this elevated vantage point, we'll have the opportunity to admire the entire valley, extending all the way to the sea.

    After Aintoura, we'll ascend and make our way towards Bkerki, passing by an ancient church known as Saydet Bchouche, proudly standing next to the Patriarchal Palace. We'll take a brief pause at this location before embarking on the Airborne Regiment Trail, which will lead us to Beit Sabbagh, an ancient residence surrounded by a historic square adorned with truly charming Lebanese houses featuring traditional arcades. This spot is a small slice of paradise from days gone by. We'll take a short break here before completing our loop and returning to our starting point.

    The trail covers a distance of approximately 8.2 km, with various uphill and downhill segments. Its uniqueness lies in its abundant natural beauty and the presence of numerous water streams.

    At the conclusion of our hike, we will gather at a charming local restaurant for a well-deserved lunch prepared especially for us.

    MEETING TIME: 8:00 AM. Departure at 8:15 AM sharp.

    There will be a breakfast stop along the way.
