Hiking Trip - Moukhtara Hike - Chouf District

    Join us for a beautiful day in the heart of the Chouf, one of Lebanon's richest regions in natural beauty, heritage, and forest preservation.
    Our journey will take us to Mokhtara and Amatour, where stunning landscapes, flowing rivers, historic landmarks, and authentic village life come together to create a memorable eco-experience.

    Highlights:
    • Visit the historic village of Mokhtara, famous for its traditional houses, old oil presses, and rich heritage
    • Possible visit to the renowned Mokhtara Palace (Jumblatt Palace), one of the most important historical landmarks in the Chouf
    • Walk through beautiful forests and along scenic riverbanks
    • Discover ancient Mamluk bridges, old water mills, and small waterfalls hidden in nature
    • Enjoy breathtaking views and countless photo opportunities throughout the trail

    Hike Details: Level 4 – Moderate (Approx. 6 km)
    • Begin with a descent towards the valley
    • Follow the river through lush forests and shaded paths
    • Cross historic stone bridges and enjoy the sound of rushing water
    • Admire waterfalls, natural pools, and traces of traditional rural life
    • Finish the hike in the charming surroundings of Amatour

    Lunch:
    After the hike, we will gather for a delicious homemade lunch at a local restaurant, supporting the local community and enjoying authentic regional flavors.

    A perfect day combining nature, history, culture, and local gastronomy in one of Lebanon's most beautiful regions.

    MEETING TIME: 8:00 AM. Departure at 8:15 AM sharp.

    There will be a breakfast stop along the way.

    PRICE: $70 per person, including transport, guides, insurance, reserve entrance and lunch.
    $40 without lunch
    +$5 reserve entrance fee for foreign participants who do not hold a Lebanese ID.
